The beauty of grooming

March 16, 2009 | 0 comments

In late January while the sun was out — a rare occurrence here in the Houghton-Hancock, Michigan area — I dragged some trails which hadn’t been done yet. This was of course with our new and improved drag, an updated version of the YTS drag that we sold this fall. Its a foot wider and a tad shorter than Yellowstone’s. The teeth are adjusted via actuator and it sides on plastic.

Here are some before and after photos I took while grooming the Churning Rapids Trail. Note how more square or flat the bottom is with the “moguls” gone. Gee, I love this new drag!

So while much of the upper Midwest has experienced a meltdown, remember you can rely on enough snow here to ski for another six weeks or so.
