Running much of the 16K in front and alone, Francis Eanes, 25, of Madison, Wis., won the race in 1:01:53 (a 6:14/mile pace). A minute later, Francis Flanagan, 27, of Madison finished second, and Scot Van Asten, 36, also of Madison, took third overall in a time of 1:04:36.
