Members of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Swimming and Diving Team offered Ironman participants water, sports drinks, cola, ice and gels.

The competitors started the Wisconsin Ironman on Sept. 9, 2012, with a 2.4-mile loop swim in Madison's Lake Monona.
