I often feel inundated this time of year by pitches for products to add to the endurance athlete's Christmas list.
The collection of gadgets is overwhelming to me and possibly paralyzing to any non-runner or biker (that's you Mom) looking for help in making a gift selection.
Given that backdrop, I found the list that Dave Foley compiled for Silent Sports Magazine a bright star in the Christmas sky. It's simple, a list of 10 items that anyone could get their head around and envision under the tree.
A few examples: arm warmers, Yak Trax, an LED head lamp and a reflective windbreaker.
I would add to that base layers (forgive the jargon), socks and gloves. It's been my experience that athletes in this area can never have too many mid-weight jerseys, wool socks or wool glove liners.
For a more techy and pricey list, check out this collection from Runner's World.
