Bike was a steal...for someone seven feet tall

cycling

If there could be a humorous element to a bike theft, it would be the vision of the thief attempting to ride away with Shawn Bradley's custom-made bicycle.

Bradley, a retired NBA basketball player, is 7 feet, 6 inches tall, and the bike frame measures 80 centimeters.

According to this account, the former Dallas Maverick joked that the only other person in Utah who could have rode off on his bike was former Utah Jazz center Mark Eaton, whom he called to tell about the burglary.

Bradley also joked that maybe another former Jazzman, Greg Ostertag, might have stolen the bike as a prank. But he said even Ostertag wouldn't have been able to reach the pedals.

The thief took the bike from Bradley's barn in Murray, Utah.

  1. I know someone in Milwaukee, not a basketball player, who could have probably ridden it. Tom, you probably know him too.
