According to Trek, a problem could allow the saddle clamp bolt to break, which could allow the saddle to come off the seat post unexpectedly. If this happens, the rider could fall and possibly be injured. Your safety is very important to us. Therefore, Trek will replace the saddle clamp bolt on an affected bicycle, free of charge.
Buyers are advised contact your dealer, or call Trek at the special recall hotline: 800.373.4594.

With only $350 to spend on a bike large enough for my 6' 3" frame, my Gary Fisher (TREK) is the best bike I've ever had.
Sure, it's made in China. I don't have $700-$1,200 for a higher-end one made in Wisconsin. I'm glad to have a great bike at a manageable price.
