Bike Fed offers valet parking for Badgers football opener

cycling

Badgers football fans will enjoy the luxury of free, valet parking at the season opener Thursday night, if they arrive by bicycle.

The Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin set up the valet station in lot 114 on Engineering Dr., just north of Camp Randall Stadium. Racks donated by Saris Cycling Group will accommodate 200 bikes for fans looking to avoid traffic congestion.

Cyclists will receive a claim ticket, leave their bikes and retrieve their ride after the game. No need to lock a bike to a tree, pole or other fixture.

Like quarterback Russell Wilson, the valet service will be making its Badgers debut on Thursday. School officials say they will look to expand the service in the future.

  1. This is great and it should help a lot with traffic congestion. Biking is the best way to travel to events like this.
