More hiking in the moonlight

hiking

Hiking by the light of the moon will be a popular activity this weekend.

I wrote earlier this week about the moonlight hike on Friday, organized by the Washington/Ozaukee County Ice Age Trail group. That prompted a note from the Waukesha/Milwaukee chapter letting me know about their trek at Lapham Peak on Saturday.

The group's first night-time hike will start at 7:30 at the west end of the Evergreen Shelter and the route will follow the Ice Age Trail through the park's prairie, covering about three miles. The park entrance is located about a mile south of I-94 on Hwy C off of the Delafield exit. Contact Kris J. at krjonorthlk@yahoo.com or 262-966-9788 for more information.  Optional social after the hike may be arranged.
