Badger Alloys joins businesses in the bike lane
For employees of Badger Alloys, Bike to Work Week came to a close Friday with a give away of about 80 bikes.
The local foundry's wellness program is one of the initiatives putting more emphasis on a bike culture in Wisconsin.
Kevin Hardman, executive director of the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin, said the organization has 200 businesses, clubs, and not for profits as members.
“Businesses are increasingly seeing bicycling as a great choice for their work force not only for transportation but health too,” Hardman said. “We see an increasing number of businesses working to make their workplaces more bicycle friendly."
