Weekend tornadoes damaged state park, Fox River Trail
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources reports that Council Grounds State Park in Lincoln County and a portion of the Fox River Trail in Brown County will be closed temporarily because of the damage caused by the record-setting storms.
Ten tornadoes hit the central and northern part of the state on Sunday.
Council Grounds, near Merrill, is expected to be closed for three to five days, according to the report. Repairs to the Fox River State Trail will start next week.
